(SoG library) Event Notes Note (1) Will of Samuel Puckle In the name of God Amen the thirteenth daie of October in the eight and thirteth yeare of the reugne of her most gracious soveraigne ladie x x x Elizabeth by the grace of God of England Frannce & Irelande Queene defendresse of the faithe . . Anno Dmi 1596. I Samuell Puckle of Lowestoft in the countie of Suff. merchant Taylor doe ordaine and make this my present Testament and last will in manner and forme followinge that is to saie Firste I bequeath my soule into the handes of almightie God my maker and creator and unto Jesus Christe hys onlie sonne my saviour and redeemer trustinge by his death and passion to be saved amongst other faithfull and penitent sinners at the daie of resurrection And my bodie to be buried at the discretion of my executor. Item I doe give to be bestowed at my buriall uppon the poore that shall com thither by my executor the somme of tenne shillinges Item I doe give to Margarett Leese my childrens nursse tenne shillinges Item I doe give unto my daughter Marie my sonnes Richarde Samuell and Gabriell every of them tenne poundes to be paide unto them when they shall severally attaine and come to their full ages of one and twentie yeares by my executor besides the tenne poundes a peece which my brother Gabriell did give them And if anie of them doe happen to die before they shall attaine and com to their severall ages of twentie one yeares Then I will that the parte or portion of them or anie of them so dyinge shall be bestowed amongst the residue of my children that shalbe then livinge at the discretion of my wife. Item I give unto my daughters Johanne and Anne either of them tenne poundes to be paied unto them at the ages aforesaide And if either doe die before the age of twentie one yeares aforesaide then I will the Survivor of them to be the others heire and if they die both before the age aforesaid then my wife to have their portions Item I doe give to my father Robert Puckle twentie shillinges a yeare soe longe as he shall live to be paide in every feaste of St Michaell tharchangell by my executor Item all the residue of my goodes and chattells debtes and commodities whatsoever and wheresoever it be I doe give and bequeathe them unto my welbeloved wife Anne who I doe ordaine and make my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament.
